PENANG GEOPARK

It was about 2 years my family didn't go out for heavy outdoor activities. Without any perfect planning, we went for jungle tracking and hiking at Taman Negara Pulau Pinang last Sunday. Yet it was not morning when we started walking into the jungle, it was 12.45 p.m. This forest is a secondary forest, not a primer forest as it was explored by men before for their logs.

Some part of the stratification of the forest. Cannot see the emergent layer.

This is the ground layer or the forest floor.

MasyaAllah ....what a terrible activity. My daughters and I felt the track like has no end point...exhausted so much! About 2 hours and 15 minutes then we arrived at our target destination...the Kerachut Beach!

Oh Ya Allah...a lake at the Kerachut Beach?

MasyaAllah...a stream crossing the treck! At least our exhaustion released. But we were anxious to drink the water. May be it was polluted by rats or any other jungle animals.

On the way back from the Kerachut Bech to the Renjer jetty, we were fascinated with the amazing rocks...Crocodile Rock, Rabbit Rock and Turtle Rock. The rocks look like they were crafted by men to be looked like certain animals.
